Hughes Electric is more than electricians.
Hughes Electric Company, LLC has been a licensed commercial/industrial electrical contractor in South Jersey since 2012. Our company employs International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 351 electricians for all of our projects. We hold all public works certificates in good standing with a DPMC Classification and bonding limit of $50,000,000. Our company hires apprentices currently enrolled in a New Jersey approved apprenticeship program through IBEW Local 351, JATC.

The Hughes Electric Team
Stephen R. Hughes, Jr.
Principal
Steve has more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. He started his apprenticeship with Local 351 and moved up to journeyman, foreman, general foreman and project manager before entering into business in 2012. He holds a New Jersey State Electrical License and is a member of NECA, the National Electrical Contractors Association.
Steve takes pride in being a hands-on business owner; often seen on jobsites interacting with his foreman and crew as well as other trades.
Paul Speziali
Estimator / Project Manager
Paul has been a union electrician for over 50 years. After several years working for other South Jersey contractors he started his own electrical contractor business, Premier Electrical Contractors. After 33 successful years in business, Paul closed his company in 2019 and was considering retirement when he was offered a position as a Project Manager with Hughes Electric. He accepted the offer and has continued to be a vital member of our team.
Darren Davis
Estimator
Darren has been in the electrical construction industry for over 30 years. His previous experience includes estimating, project management, operations, and executive management. Darren joined Hughes Electric Co. in 2021 to help develop and grow the company’s estimating capabilities for today’s competitive market. He also oversees the preconstruction process, including planning, scheduling, and analysis of the jobs needs.
